XXXIII Congress in Paraguay: The Pedagogy of Popular Education in Fe y Alegría (2002)
Background:
The following objectives were stated on the (Circular FIFyA 135) :
General: To deepen the foundations and pedagogical development of the Movement’s Popular Education proposal.
Specific: (a) To reflect on the pedagogical implications of the challenges of Popular Education today, both in formal and non-formal education; (b) To identify and develop the guiding and methodological principles of the Pedagogy of Popular Education in Fe y Alegría; and (c) To identify and develop the guiding and methodological principles of educational organisation and management in Popular Education.
The Congress:
The aforementioned circular explains the background and reasons for the chosen theme, as well as the proposed process for the Congress in three stages. The first one, is the study and reflection in the countries with the support of an Initial Document elaborated by Antonio Pérez Esclarín.
